Jay is the President and Founder of Midstate Steel Corporation, having established this company in 1987. His journey in the pipe industry started in 1980, therefore he has acquired 30 years of experience and knowledge.
He is extremely active in the National Association of Steel Pipe Distributors, serving on the Board of Directors for a number of years and one term as Vice President. Today he resides in Midland, Texas, to be close to his three children. He enjoys a lot of travel, meeting new people and establishing new relationships.

Wesley B. Solansky -- Vice President, Operations, Sales, Purchasing, and Logistics

Wesley is the oldest son of Jay Solansky. Wes joined Midstate Steel as a full-time employee in May 2005, and had been working with Midstate Steel intermittently since high school on a contract basis.
Wesley attended the University of Texas at Austin on a Pole Vaulting Track Scholarship. He graduated U.T. in the fall of 2003. Wes is also member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity and is a University of Texas at Austin Alumni, Life Member.

Loree J. Strickland – Vice President of Administration

Loree Strickland is the Vice President of Administration, and Secretary/Treasurer of Midstate Steel Corporation. She joined the company in March 2000, and has served in many positions during her 10+ years. Being responsible for daily accounting issues, banking relations, human resources, office management, and anything else she can do to help other team members, makes her a very important asset to this company.
Loree attended a small community High School outside of Midland-Texas. She resides in that same small community today, with her two sons. The three of them are very involved in sports, and many other family activities. When she finds time between work, and being a single mother, she enjoys traveling, peaceful reading time, gardening, and going to the movie theater.
